The Kansas MTSS and Alignment ealry childhood team will be providing information and guidance on Develping Phonological Awareness Skills with Preschool Students.  This meeting will take place via ZOOM and is appropriate for all preschool educators across the state of Kanas.

Learning Objectives

During this training, participants will be learning:

  • the framework behind the Science of Reading.
  • how the Developmental Continuum of Phonological Awareness can help us best meet the needs of our students.
  • classroom activities/routines that amplify instructional components of phonological awareness.
  • how phonological awareness affects future literacy and writing development.
  • programs that could be used as interventions for skill-building in the area of phonological awareness.
