Course description

It is well documented that standard protocol math interventions do not meet all students’ needs and some students require more intensified supports. When student responsiveness is slow or absent the intensity of an intervention can be adjusted in systematic ways using data. In this session, treatment intensity dimensions will be identified and described, and intervention adaptations will be indicated. Participants will leave with actionable steps for adjusting math interventions.

Learning Objectives

  • Analyze data to determine intervention requires intensified supports
  • Identify and describe treatment intensity dimensions
  • Learn actionable steps involved in adapting and adjusting intervention to reach improved outcomes in student learning
