AIT Booster Series Discussion Part 1: Perspectives Interview with a Self-Advocate

Course description

We’d like to invite you to join us for the AIT Booster Series Discussion over a Perspectives Interview with a Self-Advocate with ASD.  This is not a mandatory meeting.

Understanding perspectives of Autistic individuals is essential for ethical and informed practice.  During this interview, participants will hear the perspective of one Autistic adult.  

Join TASN ATBS trainers and other AIT members as we learn about and consider the perspectives of an Autistc adult and examine how that perspective can help improve educational services to students with ASD. 

Prior to participating in this discussion, participants are expected to watch the Perspectives Interview with a Self-Advocate on the TASN ATBS Moodle site. The discussion will relate directly to the module.

3. Scroll down to "Courses"
4. Click on "AIT Booster Series Discussions" 
5. Click on blue "Enroll Me" button
6. Complete the 1 hour interview.

After viewing the module, join us for a virtual discussion on February 22 from 3:30 to 4:30 to discuss implications of this information for educators and the students they serve.

Participants will be eligible to recieve 2.0 CEU's.

Learning Objectives

Participants will:

• Participants will have view the Perspectives Interview with a Self-Advocate on the TASN ATBS Moodle site.
• Participants will discuss and apply the information gained.

Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
