Course description

Learn how to empower students to plan for their own success, monitor their progress and effort, and adapt as needed through the Kansans Can Competency of Self-Regulation. By teaching students how to self-regulate, whether it be academic tasks, emotional reactions, or personal aspirations, youth will be better able to accomplish a set of steps and reach goals. This session will include instructional strategies that teach students how to anticipate challenges, recognize effort and progress, and reflect for increased self-awareness and effectiveness of future endeavors.

Learning Objectives

Participants will explore instructional activities, practice techniques, and learn about resources and tools to promote self-regulation.

Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
