This session includes a preview of the Trauma-Responsive School Community eLearning Modules, which were created by the Kansas TASN School Mental Health Initiative. The Trauma-Responsive School Community (TRSC) Modules are open access and available to any educator, caregiver, administrator, mental health professional anywhere in the world. A few of the topics in these interactive modules include:
the core principles of a trauma-responsive school community,
the stress response system, building resilience,
co-regulated environments,
individual and school community well-being,
meaningful caregiver collaboration and
adapting policies and procedures.
Participants will understand how to best utilize these resources for their situation and setting. Materials can be utilized individually, in a group, or systematically in a district or agency setting. Each module includes a pre/post-test, individual application, and facilitator guidance.
Identify how to implement trauma-responsive practices utilizing the Trauma-Responsive School Community eLearning Resources.
Develop a plan to complete the modules and involve others in systematic implementation.
