This is a REQUIRED course for all who are TASN funded. Your directors have agreed to your release for professional development when your contract was signed. You will receive a certificate and awarded training credit.
For those that are not TASN funded, this course is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
This training is designed for new teachers and includes a tour of KSSB's low vision clinic, theory and practice of conducting a Functional Vision Assessment, and follow-up from regional mentors.
Unfortunately, meals are NOT provided as a limit to how we can spend TASN funds. We will have options to order lunch if you would like or you can bring your own lunch.
Dorm space IS available if you would like overnight accommodations at no charge. Due to limited space, room/bathroom sharing will be required. Please RSVP if wanting to stay in the dorms on campus.
I understand the purpose of conducting an FVA.
I know the criteria for eligibility for visual impairment.
