The Co-teaching Coaches' Training is one component of the TASN Co-teaching Training and Coaching System. This event is open to individuals who are available to provide coaching and on-going support to co-teachers in their district. Participants attending this event should have already completed the Initial Co-teaching Training.
At this professional learning event, co-teaching coaches will: 1. Demonstrate mastery of the 4 approaches to co-teaching (i.e., similarities, differences, advantages, and cautions); 2. Consider the roles and responsibilities of the coach; 3. Identify the research that provides the heart of the Co-teaching Instructional Observation Form; 4. Operationally define concepts and components involved in observation; 5. Practice using the Online Co-teaching Observation and Coaching Tool; and 6. Become part of a network of other Kansas Co-teaching Coaches. Materials are provided.
