Kansans Can Competency Framework

Professional Development Description:
This one-day workshop with follow-up is designed for teachers who aspire to incorporate interpersonal competency development (i.e., self-regulation) within daily instruction, either in core content or other applicable areas. Through this experience, educators will learn and apply self-regulation development practices in any content area. 
Participants will have the opportunity to participate in virtual follow-up to assess the quality of self-regulation instruction and student impact.

 

Before the training, please watch the 4-minute overview video found at CCCFramework.org and explore the resources on self-regulation. Please bring a laptop or other electronic device. All necessary materials for the workshop will be provided. Participants may purchase the set of self-regulation lessons and student workbooks prior to training for $16 from https://nge.selz.com/ Optional text includes the book: Noonan, P.M., & Gaumer Erickson, A.S. Learning Objectives

At the end of the workshop, educators will be able to:

  1. Explain the College and Career Competency (CCC) Framework;
  2.  Teach the four essential components of self-regulation; and
  3. Develop a personal instructional plan to teach self-regulation

Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
