Course description
You're in the role of a coach and participated in trainings already. What does application look like? Explore and discuss coaching in education that includes virtual and in-person observations, feedback, and modeling. Learn effective ways to use virtual platforms as well as in person strategies in this practice-filled session. To complete this opportunity, participants will make appointments for a one-hour "virtual coaching lab."
- If you are in need of a lactation room the day of the training, please indicate so in the accomodations section of this registration.
- This training is approved for 6.0 continuing education clock hours for Kansas licensed Speech/Language Pathologists by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services.
Learning Objectives
Participants will –
- Review the elements of coaching and rationale for using coaching to support professional growth
- Practice a structured model for coaching conversations designed for use in multiple contexts
- Discuss and explore the use of video technology to support coaching
- Use self-reflection to create a personalized implementation plan
- Explore and review online resources for continued growth in coaching skills
