Kansas Assistive Technology Guide

Infinitec Logo

The Kansas Assistive Technology Guide was created in response to a need expressed by Kansas school administrators and educators for high-quality examples of the processes that individual school districts and IEP teams can use to provide legal, effective, and ethical assistive technology (AT) services.  Development of the guidance is led by Kansas Infinitec, approved by Kansas State Department of Education SETS March 5, 2024. The Guide was reviewed and updated in July 2025 with the addition of an AT in Transition Appendix.

The Kansas Assistive Technology Guide can be customized and tailored to local services. The guide is envisioned as a starting point for the development of a specific agency’s AT services. Any part of the guidelines can be copied or revised for use by an individual program or agency.  We update the guide annually, please provide feedback or suggestions on the guide feedback form.
