Kansans Can Vision Video Training Series

KSDE has developed a seven-module video training series outlining key components of Kansas’ vision for education. The purpose of this series is to help district and building leaders facilitate meaningful dialogue with staff and other stakeholders about the vision and what they want it to look like in their own schools and districts.

The series is intentionally divided into short segments (about six to 10 minutes each) to give education leaders greater flexibility in how they may be used for professional learning or other educational opportunities. The series may be delivered in its entirety as a full-day workshop or delivered one module at a time as an add-on to already scheduled professional development events.

The modules consist of the following:

1.    Overview
2.    Social-emotional growth
3.    Kindergarten readiness
4.    Individual Plans of Study
5.    High school graduation
6.    Civic engagement
7.    Postsecondary Success

Each module is accompanied by a handout that can be printed and distributed to participants. The handouts contain guiding questions designed to help facilitate discussion about the content shared during a particular module.

Participants will be able to contextualize the concepts and assess what next steps might be needed in order to make progress in each outcome area
