This two-part webinar, presented by  Michelle Grayson-Feldman, M.S. Ed., will discuss sex education and our daily interactions with our students with disabilities can help them live happier and safer lives. Sex abuse is incredibly prevalent in people who are identified with a wide variety of disabilities. As educators, we can attempt to arm our students with the tools they need to protect themselves both from abuse and from being accused of abuse. 

Learner Objectives: 

After viewing this webinar series learners will be able to:

  • Identify why this is a need
  • Identify materials that can be used to teach this information
  • Identify strategies to use when purchasing a curriculum is not obtainable at this time
  • Establish a community in schools and with families to help increase safety
