Technology as the distractor? Or technology as an optimizer?  Sometimes the (inter)actions that don't seem like part of the learning process set the stage for the most robust learning opportunities.  Join Maggie as she walks through ways to recruit learner interest and heighten engagement.  From no-tech or low-tech options to interactive, collaborative high tech options - educators can seamlessly integrate technology options to optimize access to learning.  

Learning Objectives

Attendees will: 

• discover how technology informed the development of universal design for learning (UDL). 
• develop deeper knowledge of the UDL guidelines, speficically the affective networks. 
• draw on examples of tech tool options that optimize engagement by recruiting interest.
