Course description

How do we make Assistive Technology Consideration more than a yes or no checkbox on the student’s IEP?  When is technology in the classroom considered Assistive Technology? This presentation provides an overview of the definition of Assistive Technology, a review of legal requirements of Assistive Technology and a look at Assistive Technology considerations for students.  AT Considerations will be explained using information from the QIAT and SETT Framework.  Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the QIAT and SETT through hands-on activities and case studies. Presenters will also share free resources available to educators to assist with AT Considerations.
