Kansans Can Competency Framework

This one-day workshop is designed for teachers who aspire to incorporate interpersonal competency development (i.e.,self-regulation) within daily instruction, either in core content or other applicable areas. Through this experience, educators will learn and apply self-regulation instructional practices in any content area.  

Before the training, please watch the 4-minute overview video found at CCCFramework.org and explore the resources on self-regulation. Please bring a laptop or other electronic device. All necessary materials for the workshop will be provided.

Course completers will receive six CEUs.

Learning Objectives

At the end of the workshop, educators will be able to:

  1. Describe the key components of self-regulation.
  2. Assess student self-regulation knowledge.
  3. Practice teaching select self-regulation concepts. 
  4. Critique and modify self-regulation instructional practices for your context.
