Course description

Learn how to empower students to prevent and respond to bullying through the Kansans Can Competency of Assertiveness. By teaching students how to effectively express themselves while being respectful to others, youth will be empowered to ask for help when they need it, manage conflicts, improve their cooperative learning, and improve their ability to resist peer pressure. This session will include instructional strategies that teach students how to express themselves without bullying and increase their self-confidence, thereby preventing bullying behaviors.

Learning Objectives

Participants will explore instructional activities, practice techniques, and learn about resources and tools to promote assertiveness.

Refund Policy

Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
