In this online training, participants will learn evidence-based instructional strategies that promote individual success for students with behavioral challenges, students with ASD, intellectual disabilities, and other complex needs.
Intervention always includes instruction! Strategies and resources will include teaching methods to use before, during and after behaviors occur. This training is designed to provide participants with tools to intervene before instructional errors or behaviors can occur, resulting in measurable student progress. Student-focused programming aligns with Kansas Can vision for providing quality instruction.
This Train the Trainer model will provide participants with training tools to go back to their districts and train direct care staff, teachers, other service providers, etc.
This training is designed for people who work directly with students within the classroom setting, trainers, direct service providers, educational leaders, coordinators or other professionals charged with providing training to other adult learners and who are confident in doing so in an applied learning context. Teams of two or more are recommended.
Participants will complete online modules that are divided into 3 days of content.
Participants will participate in 6 online meetings to discuss the content and engage in applied activities.
Participants must complete all online modules and participate in online meetings to successfully complete this training.
This course includes application assignments and a final implementation activity. To receive continuing education credits, participants must complete the assignments.
15 hours of continuing education credits will be awarded for completing online modules.
9.5 hours of continuing education credits will be awarded for participating in the online modules.

Using a scenario, learners will identify what Errorless Teaching Procedures could be used to teach a new skill.
