Course description

During this webinar participants will be introduced to proactive approaches to serving children and families from poverty in a way that builds connections in and out of school. Learner Objectives: Participants will learn proactive strategies that will help them to: 1. Be more inviting and less intimidating, 2. Communicate with families, 3. Be involved in the community. and 4. Be a PART. Anna Huynh is a Chicago Public Schools Special Education Teacher and the founder and president of HOODHOP inc. HOODHOP inc. is a 501©3 non-profit organization, founded in 2004, that seeks to provide the positive outlets of art and dance to youth in underserved neighborhoods. HOODHOP inc. was featured in PEOPLE magazine in December of 2008, when Anna was a recipient of the Maybelline Beauty for Education Award.
